ANTI-OPPRESSION 101

This workshop helps participants understand the ways in which systems are connected to and interact with individual power, privilege, and positionality. We unpack the ways in which systems of oppression impact process and policy within organizations and by extension how this impacts the community being served.

ANTI-OPPRESSION 102

This workshop assists participants in understanding how to use power, privilege and positionality as tools in interrupting cycles of oppression. We assist organizations with looking at their current policies with the goal of shifting these practices in the direction of increased equity and justice for workers and communities being served.

LABOR ORGANIZING 101

This workshop assists participants with learning about the fundamentals of work place and labor organizing.  From identifying the elements of a campaign in the making, messaging, building base, to strategizing for the WIN.  We also include an in depth consultation of current PA laws that support workers who need to organize within their work spaces.

HIV AND WHITE SUPREMACY

This workshop assists participants with understanding the root causes of the HIV epidemic. We unpack what it means to medicalize a social issue and what it means to show up as accomplice to folks living with HIV and AIDS.

ECONOMIC EXPLOITATION AND ERASURE

In racialized capitalism, Black and Brown labor is made invisible, privatized, sold, and consumed without uplifting the work put into crafting it–or the worker who crafted it. This workshop examines the intersection between cultural production, cultural appropriation, economic exploitation and its impacts on marginalized black and brown working artists.

OWNING OUR OWN LABOR

This workshop acts as an introduction to cooperative philosophy, practice and economics.  We share the Black and Brown Worker Cooperative’s philosophy and strategies for cooperative economies.
